On Thursday 25th November, Carly attended a breakfast meeting at No. 10 Downing Street which was hosted by the Prime Minister, David Cameron, who was accompanied by George Osborne (Chancellor of the Exchequer) and Mark Price M.P.

The purpose of the meeting was to meet with entrepreneurial business leaders to establish difficulties encountered by small and medium sized businesses in launching and growing companies. An hour and a half was set aside to cover the agenda that gave the Prime Minister a detailed understanding of the problems and challenges faced by the 18 business leaders present.

Following the meeting, Carly presented the Prime Minister with a London 2012 Olympic key ring and two pairs of earrings for Mrs. Cameron. The earrings chosen by Carly were:

Icon Live recently supported Oasis with raising money for the Richard House Trust

Icon donated 6 tickets into the auction held at their Annual Ball at to see Kylie Minogue at the O2 in April 2011.  The winners will be able to make the most of the Private Suite to see Kylie and her support act!!

This prize raised £2,620 for the trust!!!

Two charities have recently been the lucky recipients of donations for just one set of 6 tickets to see the ATP Tennis Finals from Icon’s Private Suite at the O2 in November 2010.

The tickets initially went into an auction organised by Plumpton Racecourse to raise money for the Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Charity

The winner of that auction then very kindly donated them into another charity auction, this time at Fontwell Racecourse raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We hope the eventual winners have a fantastic time at the tennis, which will include Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal & Andy Murray!

Rochelle Wiseman of The Saturdays wore the gorgeous Impe rial Crescent Drop earrings to the recent MOBO Awards. These earrings are a real press favourite and accessorised her dress beautifully!

X factor contestant Mary Byrne wore Earring Boutique for the second week running, this time for her stunning live performance last Saturday night.

Mary Byrne chose to wear The Earring Boutique’s Imperial Cres cent Drop Earrings at the X Factor live show on Sunday night and looked fabulous! Mary is already one of the favourites, we thought her performance on Saturday was amazing and can’t wait to see how she gets on in the competition.

Grazia Magazine have picked our Mirage Chandelier Earrings to be part of their feel the beat – nic article, they say that fashion is in such a retro spin right now.

The super chic Swarovski Lounge provided the perfect location for the Earring Boutique team to show case the key designs for AW10 to the press.  With four new collections of exquisite designs, our Head Designer, Ashley talked through the key looks for the season as well as providing insight into the creative inspiration behind them.

Icon was a major sponsor of the 2010 Fashion & Textiles Showcase which was held at the Sallis Benney Theatre at the University of Brighton, Faculty of Arts on Saturday 5th June.

Carly Read: Official Fabulous Fashionista!

In the January edition of Management Today, Carly was named joint 24^th in Britain’s Top100 Entrepreneurs 2010 and topped the list of 7 ‘Fabulous Fashionistas’, which included Chrissie Rucker (The White Company), Johnnie Boden, Paul Smith and Linda Bennett! Carly was also one of only eight women to appear on the list.

An auction to win 6 tickets to see Rod Stewart and 6 tickets to see Whitney Houston perform live at the O2 this year raised just short of £10,000!

On Wednesday 3^rd March, Carly presented ‘Reflections of an Entrepreneur’ at Sussex University’s Beepurple Club.

Not only was the presentation well received and well attended but some of the feedback credited the evening as being truly inspirational!
